A Letter from Abu Dhabi

A Letter from Abu Dhabi

A Letter from Abu Dhabi

A Letter from Abu Dhabi layers abstract scribbles over the city’s skyline, echoing words carried by air and sea. The work transforms architecture into memory, inviting the viewer to read the city as both message and muse.

The Lady of Light & Shadow

The Lady of Light & Shadow

The Lady of Light & Shadow

- 77 x 122 cm
- Acrylic Painting
A portrait that explores the harmony between strength and softness, revealing a woman's presence shaped by contrasts - where light meets shadow and silence become her voice.

Whispers of the Dunes

Whispers of the Dunes

Whispers of the Dunes

- 180 x 120cm
- Mixed Media
This painting evokes the quiet dialogue between desert and moon. Inspired by the sand dunes of Al Ain under the glow of a full moon, Hessa Al Mahmoud layers texture and light to capture a landscape both vast and intimate. The dunes rise and fall like verses of poetry, their curves softened by silver illumination, while shadows trace the timeless rhythm of shifting sands. In this work, the desert is not silent—it whispers, carrying stories of stillness, memory, and eternity beneath the watchful night sky.

Abstract Portraits

This mixed media work explores the tension between concealment and revelation. Through bold contrasts, delicate textures, and fragmented portraiture, the painting captures a quiet strength that feels both intimate and untouchable.
